Hey all,

I know most of you use HD on UltimateIKS and you'd think that if a solution to everyone's woes was found that you'd be able to post it in the UP/DOWN thread where everyone is looking for info.

But Noooooooooooo, that's frowned upon. Hence, wasting more bandwidth and posting a complete new thread.

I've noticed (at least using a Nfusion HD with a Goo router) that if I go directly to the HD channels, it will not connect. I was getting the same problem. I never changed a thing in the script using the Domain name. All I did is go to a SD channel first and let it connect first, then simply switched to HD. All is good!

Hopefully this works for you. Let us know if it does.

I don't think sd/hd has anything to do with it. The problem is establishing a connection to the server, which has to happen before you request the control word for a channel. The server is occasionally accepting connections, but the majority of the time it's not. It was working fine for a month, but has been down around 99% of the time for the last several days.

I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just saying what has worked for me in the past, and again today. For whatever reason, my receiver will connect to the server MUCH quicker on SD channels than HD channels. I went through the whole process first of changing to the new posted IP address which made no difference. Changed back to the domain name, rebooted both receiver and router, put it on a SD channel and let it sit. Within 30 seconds, I was connected and then switched to HD. Been solid ever since.

Try a different server(provider) and I'll bet you won't have to do any of that witchcraft.

I'm using a captive works 800 hooked up to my pc which is running the rq program, I don't have hd on this receiver and the rq program still will not connect. There is obviously an issue with their server.

Is anyone getting anything on North? If so, what are you using? Domain name or new IP address?
