Where can I find the MAC address for this megatvi SHD3000 box, I have looked on the box with no luck and scrolled through the menu with no luck.

I don't remember ever seeing one or read of someone seeing one for the Mega...some of the older files had a few extra options but don't remember seeing anything with those either. Some of the older stb's had a hidden bios you could access by holding down a certain button on the front of the stb but haven't read of the Mega having one.

Can't you find it by going into your router settings and see what's connected?
MA should be listed.

All that comes up is ip addresses being used..... Anyone know how to get into the bios on this box, like we use to get into the older FTA boxes.

I know I haven't explored this box's code--I had no reason to. The MAC might be in the IP interface chip and not very accessable to user. Pop the cover and take a look inside. Get a copy of the box's code and see what is inside. You might want to get a list of chips in the box and look up the data sheets for any that you can find on-line. Look for info for the processor inside.
A quick google later, looks like the processor inside is MIPS core and something like the NT78326. MIPS code is relatively easy to explore.

Ok I did it......here is what I did

I downloaded "find my MAC address program 30 day free trial version" to my lap top

Unplugged all electronics from my router and only plugged in my receiver and laptop

Ran program and recorded MAC address that matches IP address that the receiver shows ie 102.67.0.105 ..... 00:30:40:50:60:70

Unplugged the receiver and ran the program again......ip disappears

Plugged it back in and info re appears

Must be the one !

Hope this helps someone else trying to get the same thing

Ps the numbers posted are just made up numbers not my actual numbers
