Windows 10 is now out for users that wish to upgrade. some of the features of Windows 10 that a normal user might not take the time to dig through and purge from their system. The privacy holes just seem too large, just to be aware of what's going with the OS and make the decision to upgrade wisely. Here are some of the problems people have come across with Windows 10.
Windows 10 Steals Your Bandwidth for Their Use.

This is through an AssTastic little feature called Windows Update Delivery Optimization. Basically the idea is Microsoft wants to cut back on their bandwidth cost when it comes to updating your system. Their solution? Use your PC and your internet connection to send MS updates to either PCs on your home network, or to any PC on the internet. Without your permission. Now MS says they won't do this to anyone with a Metered Connection, but you have to have indicated that your connection is metered for this to matter. Either way the fact that this is default is a little insulting. Why should you have to give your bandwidth to Microsoft because they want to cut back on their costs? If you want to disable this ****tarded feature, this is the pathway to follow: START->Settings->Update & Security->Windows Update->Advanced options Then, choose how your updates are delivered. My internet is mine.
Windows 10 is Incredibly Intrusive and Will Take Your Info

By downloading Windows 10, your agreed to their Service Agreement. Big whoop, I agree to that **** all the time. I don't even read it. But, it means you agreed to Microsoft collecting pretty much whatever data it wants from your system. By default, they sync things to their servers like WiFi names and passwords, your browser information, history, and settings, as well as any passwords for apps or websites. This is honestly stuff that Chrome or Firefox would do, but it could be taken as a violation of your privacy. Plus, that **** is default. They don't even ask. Want that **** gone? Go to this link and follow the steps : hxxp://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4077-sync-settings-turn-off-windows-10-a.html By the way, Cortana does all that **** too, in case they miss anything with the first go. Don't use Cortana if you don't want your dirty Bing searches being used by Microsoft.
What Do They Do With This Info? Well... Sell You **** of Course

MS creates a specific Advertising ID for each user on each device. This ID is used in conjunction with all those dirty Bing searches and websites you visited to allow Ad companies to give you personalized ads. Since I'd rather not have Ad Companies selling me **** every time I log in, I'd want to disable that. There's two things you can do. 1. Go to this link and opt out of personalized ads: hxxps://choice.microsoft.com/en-gb/opt-out 2. Go to this pathway and disable it in your settings: Setting menu > Privacy> general > Change privacy option Or you can use a local account and get rid of logging in with your MS Account. I'd do all 3 to be safe. But I'm a poster on the Internet, not a cop.
Windows 10 Will Let Any of Your Acquaintances Use Your WiFi Without Asking
http://i.imgur.com/jeCiNrd.gif
Look, I get the idea behind this one. Every time one of your new friends come to your place, they ask for the WiFi password. It's usually awkward. So avoid that all together by just letting anyone who has you as a friend on Facebook log into your WiFi without asking!!! This is what WiFi Sense does. By default. Look at your Friends List. Tell me that you want any of those Lecherous Mother****ers anywhere near your WiFi without your permission. This one kinda sucks to get rid of. The first step is on your PC. Go to this path: Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage Wi-Fi settings Disable everything. Napalm this **** with disables. Good. This only stops things on your end, however. If you invite ****stick Fred over to your place and he hasn't disabled his ****, then he can share your network information with all of his friends. Look at Fred's Friend List. Do you want that? Do you? So, you'll have to rename your network, adding “_optout” at the end. So, if your network's name is "OhGodPleaseDon'tLookAtMyBingSearches", change it to "OhGodPleaseDon'tLookAtMyBing Searches_opt-out". Also make your network name smaller than that. If you add the "_optout", this stops WiFi Sense from sharing your ****. You're welcome.

Tl;DR There's features in Windows 10 that spy on you and sh&t. Don't want them? Get rid of them.

Edit: So yes, I am aware that these settings can be turned off at the point of installation. Unless you do express. These fixes were meant to point things out to people who weren't aware of the programs or what they were doing. Also pointed out to me by user paranoiasavedthecat, is that these programs will reactivate themselves after a Windows Update, or even by themselves after a set period of time. If you didn't know, updates are mandatory, so get used to disabling them I guess. Also pointed out to me is that the services that share browsing history cannot be removed unless you've got the Enterprise Version of Windows 10. All that gets reactivated by itself. Microsoft will get your love, and your dirty Bing searches. But you can keep getting rid of the features, if you want.
