View Full Version : UltimateIKS changing servers AGAIN?

I've been around for quite some time and have a question that maybe someone would care to answer.

UltimateIKS (I really question the name here) seems to be changing servers more than a hooker changes her underwear.

First, and for a long time, Ultimate was on servers in Germany. Then recently, those servers were changed to one in Spain. With the recent UP/DOWN situation on UltimateIKS, I checked the IP address and once again, it seems that they have moved servers, this time to Romania.

If they are going to be moving servers around as much as they are, wouldn't one think that the "responsible" thing to do is inform the users of UltimateIKS of these server changes, as the domain name doesn't work for all STB's?

Just me wondering out loud.

They have a new site but I think you have to re-register...
Communication with customers could be better.

You can do a lookup for the ip at

I've never seen any server go down as much and as many times as this one.

I hear ya! Shame that I still have about 8 months on mine. I found a much more reliable server for my son for half the price. He's happy.................me not so much.

ultimateiks.biz is down atm wonder if they're changing location again?

What surprises me is why anybody would still use or support this service. I've being reading these posts for the last 4+ months and can't figure out why people continue sticking with Ultimate. Understandable a freeze now + then is tolerable + north never seems to ever have an ECM so why remain so dedicated. Granted it worked flawless for a long time ( I know) but sometimes a replacement is necessary. Ultimate is kind of like a screen door on a submarine, not much good for anything!
