Temperatures begin to approach normal but will rise again next week

t'll be a chilly and mainly cloudy Friday and weekend with chances of flurries, according to Environment Canada, before temperatures warm up again next week in the lead-up to Christmas.
There's a 30-per-cent chance of flurries Friday under mainly cloudy skies with a high of 3 C. Friday night's forecast calls for more mainly cloudy skies, another 30-per-cent chance of flurries in the evening and overnight, and a low of –6 C.
More mainly cloudy skies are expected Saturday with a 40-per-cent chance of flurries, winds west at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h, and a high of –1 C. Saturday night will bring cloudy periods with a 30-per-cent chance of flurries and a low of –3 C.
Sunday is expected to bring a mix of sun and cloud with a high of 2 C, and Sunday night could bring clouds, a 30-per-cent chance of flurries or rain showers and a low of 1 C.
So far, the forecast calls for the temperature to rise to a high of about 6 C on Monday, 6 C on Tuesday, 7 C on Wednesday and a whopping 10 C on Christmas Eve.
