OK got things working the way I like them, now, how do I convert or view on my PC the videos recorded off the OpenBox X5?
I have tried several file converters and one did convert the XX.TS file to an MPEG4 format, but nothing is view able back at the PC, anyone have a good file converter of program that will view these files on a PC?
Freeware is preferred, you can PM me the link to it, or post it here if you know how to wrap it in [code] tags

You can try TS reader/player/lite, some times it works, other times it don't.

Well that one didn't work.
I guess these files are only view-able on the OpenBox.

Yep, that's what I do, I have never found anything else that works, VCL, windows player/TS reader lite/ the receiver its self is the only thing that works well.

try videoredo. if an encoder is following the correct TS specs, it should be viewable in pretty much all media players.

OK, still looking for a free TS file viewer/converter, something to open and view these recordings from the OpenBox X5 on a PC.
I have looked all over but can't find one that doesn't cost a ton of green backs.
I have tried several that I have found on the internet but they all come up with no video after conversion, ether I'm doing something wrong or they just don't work that good on TS video files.

Try opening the TS file in Kodi..... I changed an S10 DVR file to end in .TS and it runs great in Kodi..... at least on my Ubuntu machine. ffmeg will transcode it too. I'll try to load one in a windows version of Kodi just to make sure it works there as well.

OK all thanks for the info, but I gave up on this and just let my OpenBox 5 do the job.
