Can I use a DP Twin LNB on a standard Y yoke on a 24'' elliptical digiwave dish to hit 110-119? I tried but could not get anything. The LNB mount that was on the dish was a 3 port Legacy marked 119-110-101 reading from left to right from behind the dish. I'm thinking the focal points are different but not sure.

Thanks

On the back of the dish, are gradients labelled as tilt or skew? If it is tilt, then subtract your skew setting from 180 and use that value. e.g. if your skew setting is 120, 180 - 120 = 60, so you set the tilt at 60.

Dish pointer says skew the 75 clockwise. Which I think matches the numbers on the dish. Still wondering if the lnb set up I described will even work with that dish.

I'm sure you need to change that triple yolk for a double yolk.
Then you will need to det up the dish to accommodate it.

I got the Y yoke on. It's the yoke that goes on dish 500.

You must be able to receive 110 or 119 on the dish and then go from there.
Looking behind the dish 110 is to the left of 119!!

If you mounted the new "Y" yoke at the same point as the old one then the focal points are the same.

The trick for a dual satellite LNB setup is that you have to point the dish in-between the two satellites, go to dishpointer.com, enter your address and select a dish 500 or 110/119 under the "Multi LNB" selection, this will give you a map with a line on it zoom into your location and move the marker to where your dish is located.

It will also give you the elevation and skew settings for your location.

Adjust the dish using this information.

Once this is done you must use TP 12457R on satellite 119W to find that bird, you can use TP 12224 to find 110W.

On a DP twin the Diseqc switch settings are Diseqc port #1 = 119, port #2 = 110 for the internal switch, do not use an external switch.

From behind the dish 110 is to the right of 119.

So from behind the dish. 110 is to the right of 119? And I mounted ylthe yoke in the same mounting hole as the original 3 lnb mount was in.
Now when pointing to do I try and get strongest signal on 119 then adjust skew to get the strongest signal on 110?

That's what I did.

I would pre-set the skew on the dish to what ever is needed at your location, then adjust the elevation to get the best signal on both, you can play with the skew a bit later if needed.

If you do try and adjust the skew then do it in very small increments.
