View Full Version : T-4 Quality and Strenth high 90's but red!!

Hello and thank you!

I have had my T-4 for two years about then added the "module" all was good then one day I got all RED for Quality and Strength. I pulled out my module hook up the box Q & S was real low maybe 20% ish. I put the module back in and Q & S was back to the high 90%. I re-scanned 119 and 110 and the T-4 did not find anything I am going to guess a transponder had changed? If so can anyone give detailed directions on how to correct this malfunction?

You may want to read this and make sure your switch setting are right too.

Guess what?....Bad switch! So if your switch goes out the blue lines changes to red ones on both Q and S.

I had this same problem on my T4 too but as soon as I updated to new bin bars went blue so could just need new bin to if you bought a used one and you hook it up and have this problem. Just putting it out there. Thanks

Q is the one you want to see high--that is basically the signal to noise ratio of the satellite signal and the higher it is, the higher the fade margin you have. The S meter tells you how strong a signal you are getting from the LNB, but that will vary with the length of coax you have and how much internal gain the LNB has to drive the coax line--it might tell you if you are having LNB or coax problems but little more.
