The Nighthawk R7000 is a great router and has the 5G band for newer devices. They are more expensive, but you get what you pay for. I have a detached garage that is about 50 feet from the house. I can stream out there perfectly with just the Nighthawk. I also set a range extender out there connected to it so I can have an ethernet port. It also takes on speeds that I was not suppose to be receiving. hxxp://www.netgear.com/home/products/networking/wifi-routers/R7000.aspx

I shopped around for a new router just recently and bang for the buck as well as reviews went with this and have not second guessed myself on buying it.....

In Canada it goes buy RTAC87R.
It covers all, abgn and ac so older devices will connect as well.
It was also voted pc mag readers choice.

Set up was a breeze and had everything up and running on dedicated channel in 10 mins after I updated the firmware.

The one Dells mentions was in my final 3 when deciding but opted for the Asus based on pouring over both consumer and professional reviews for under $300.
Best Buy has it on sale for $264.99 until the 21st.

The best for the price is tplink 7c
That was the 3rd router in my top 3 selection.

When I compare items before buying I set up a spreadsheet listing pros and cons comparing items and break that down to make my decision.

Awww I'm too late.......I would have suggested the Amped Wireless AC1750 line of routers, they have some that are very high powered,(800mW) I use them around the ranch and get total coverage out in the back 40, no dark spots anywhere in the house.
