Hey ,my friend just got a new t-5 . What should be put on it to watch north. It's brand new never been touched.

Simply load latest file, then factory default. Should be good to go after scanning sats and inputting server info.

Did you purchase a DL100 with it? Did it come installed? If not you will need to make sure you install it. It should have the most current factory file installed. You can check by looking through the menu and finding the receiver info, or version, to confirm. Download and unzip the latest 3rd party file. Load via USB and reboot the receiver. You should be ready to set up your satellites and scan after that.

Bev hasnt switched to MPEG4 conversion...The dl100 dosent need to be installed for bev too work..

yes you will need it to get HD Look in system info in menu It will say 8psk if installed

When they said they were setting up for north I assumed both 82 and 91. 82 needs the DL100, but yes you are correct sat 91 mostly works without it.
