I have a dish with twin lnb, settings are as follows:

Sat- echo 7 119

diseqc- 1

tp freq-12224

lnb- dishpro 1

off

off

all

on

problem is that the signal and quality never stay the same, dish is pointed and has s= 95 and q=95 then i will change channel and will mess up, after that i have to constantly move the lnb on and off till it comes back.
I just replaced my wire so i am really getting agrivated since i just got a sub and had the cnx for premiums. Any help would be great, also my lnb wire is brand new.

Why dishpro ? Did you try standard? What is your Q on tp 12239?
Cnx uses 11250 for legacy,no standard in settings

tp 12224 is a spotbeam and unless you live in that beam it is 0 quality ,That is why people use 12239 to check

The 12239 always changes back to 12224 , like right now I have 95% for both S & Q and can watch everything but if change the channel it drops completely and I have to move the LNB setting ON, OFF, ON OFF till I get it back its very frustrating.

As far as the Dishpro setting, I have been using that since I got the box and does work but just wondering why I am having that problem if I have my line going staight from dish to box.

It always defaults back to 12224 ,thats normal .Is this the only stb on this set-up? The lnb could be failing ,long cable length not enough power from nano

Yes it is only stb and it is long enough, could it be the dish? Cause like i said it will be 95's and then i will change the channel and it will go off again, so really no quick fix unless i got all new equipment.

Check and see if the LNB has a big DP on it, if it does then it would be a DishPro lnb. But if it dose not, then you have the wrong LNB setting.

Do you have a switch anywhere between the receiver and the dish?

Also, you said you had a Twin LNB, are you getting 110 on the other side with no issues?

Nothing in between the dish and box, I used to and the same thing happened, it was better with the splitter, it happened less than now. So I may need to change my settings?

Next time your LNB screws-up, quickly go to the Channel Search Page and see what sat name displays down at the bottom of the page?

Are you getting 110 with the other half of your Twin LNB?

the first thing you should do is go to your lnb and tell us if it has DP on it in big black letters

It always has 119, I am completely happy with just that, maybe the connection to the satellite, I had it on the one side that sez 110 and now have it connected to 119 but doesn't matter cause regardless I get echo 119. Don't really need anything else since we don't get ppv movies anyway, all other channels are on my sub but really aggrivated with this.

both lines carry the 110/119 signal .The only difference between the legacy twin and dishpro twin is they have different internal switches ,That is why you need to identify which one it is because settings are different

I have the Dishnetwork 500 with the twins.

unfortunately that does not help both legacy and dishpro twins are installed on the dish They look identical

I have a feeling that your dish might be out of alignment a bit.......or..........because of an incorrect setting when you change channels the switch inside the LNB is switching over and you loose the signal till it switches back. Does the LNB have DP or does it say DISH NETWORK?

If it is a Legacy LNB these settings would be what you need......

119W
Diseqc - None
TP - 12239
LNB - 11250
MDS - SW42 Dish1

,might even have the wrong eye pointed at 119 but wev want to get settings correct first

In torpainters picture it is the top left, so it is not a pro, but when setting up the cnx the configurations are what I posted earlier, like right now it is fine but then all of the sudden I will lose it, like I said before I have 95 and 95 s& q its weird.

Ok, if it's not a Dishpro LNB then I would try those settings I gave you in post #15. Also use the diagram below and check that you have the proprer side of the LNB hitting 119, cover the other side with foil to test.......
