Police say a man was trying to steal a truck from a Regional Road 56 driveway was shot and killed just after 3 a.m. on Thursday. The home's owner, Peter Khill, is charged with second degree murder....

Actually the cop has been found guilty of attempted murder. Hard to figure that verdict out since the victim was actually killed.

This is how it played out:
The police officer was justified with firing the first volley of bullets because they believed he thought that the assailant was a threat to the officer & public.The first volley killed him.
He was found guilty of attempted murder on the second volley of gun fire,but not guilty of murder because he was PROBABLY already dead.No mention of tasing a dead man either,which they did.
My original statement stands.

i would have fired one shot then deal with it, he would have been put in jail for a day or two his mom would have said how good he was, never did anything wrong and got out and continued his life of crime and live happily ever after.
i like my way better we're all alot safer.
