how to get 110, and 119 sat. on my new dreamlinkT5 ?

I just got the dreamlink T5, don't know to get 11o, and 119 on the sat, getting really frustrated,

you can't use winzip
plus you can't load a zip file...it needs to be a bin(rom)

Does it say connected with a number in brackets()?

Did you enter all your provider information correctly it can be a bit of a challenge on this box at times. Make sure your lan connection is tight to the modem.

It good of you to post how but I doubt that is the OP's issue If it was he would be getting a no signal message instead of scrambled

thank you for pointing me to the right direction, you are right, I don't have to change anything, but reset the box,
those things appear automatically, Symbol rate 21.500 and Tranmission Turbo 8psk are there, I loaded latest bin file for T5 104, loaded factory file, scanned 110, got 404 channels, 119, got 548 channels, checked, connection OK(1 ), server is connected, did everything by the books, But still getting no service, screen says " Bad or No signal" " no information". really frustrated now.

please advise.

I don't see a port on either diseqc you will need to assign a port on your switch for each bird, for example port 1 = 110 and port 2 =119. this is for the diseqc type switch

This is nuts, I did what you told me, I assigned port 2 to 119, scanned 1142 channels, assigned port 3 to 110, scanned 681 channels, S & Q bars are all very blue, also blue words on right corner of screen showing " EchoStar
72.7 West " for 119. and " EchoStar 61.5 West " for 110. still shows Scramble Channel.....:disappointed:

If those sats are appearing at top right you are pointed at the easten arc

yes, I have two on rooftop, both installed by dish network many years ago when I had their service.
I am looking at my screen baffled, strong bars for S & Q, blue words on right top of the screen , and
NO TV, or rather Scramble.... any solution here ?

like i said the dish you are hooked up to is pointed at 61,72.77 and is not supported by most iks providers

I just paid for one year iks subscription, my server is connected, connection ok (1), the provider introduced me to this site,
I had used Coolsat at one time, it worked fine with my rooftop dishes.
any suggestion here ?

Aim your dish at 110 & 119 you may get some pictures then. As previously mentioned you will not get anything the way it is aligned now. Do you know how to re-aim your dish? If not you will need to find a friend with the same interest to help you or start reading on how to do it yourself. Its not that hard but you will need to take your box and a small TV to your dish or get a sat meter to aim it.

dishpointer is a good site to get the angles and direction for where to aim from your location

If you have a cell phone, find the dishpointer app and install it on your phone. Learn how to use and read it.

Both you and the phone climb up to your roof and go to your sat dishes.

Turn on your phone and open the dishpointer app.

Once you have the app showing you the direction to point your dish to for the sat you want loosen the bolts on your dish and move the dish according to what the app says. The same applies to the angle of your dish. Do this for both dishes if needed.

Once moved tighten the bolts back up carefully to prevent any movement of the dish, and mark your bolt location on the support bracket using white out so that if your dish moves on you, you know where to set it back to.

Climb down from your roof, go inside and check to verify that you moved your dishes to the correct sats on your box. If the box shows the correct sat then scan it.

If what I have just wrote does not make sense to you and you are still unsure I highly recommend you call a satellite installer to come and align your dishes for you.

It may be a good idea to post what hardware you are using as nobodyspecial has mentioned on a couple of occasions now. If you are unsure, go up on your roof and take some pictures of the dishes from the front and back showing the lnb's clearly as well as dish size and any little boxes that the wires are attached to. A close up of the little box known as a switch would be beneficial.

can you tell me why? is there anything I can do, like rescanning ?
