Just to let everyone know IPGUYS has been doing some maintenance. Not sure when they will be done. I recommend to unplug the box periodically. Thanks for your patience

yes been up and down since friday ! starting to get annoyed !! tweaking a server does not affect a server at least not for this long i know i used to own one !! unless there moving from one server to another.
now getting Error code 20 the proxy failed to connect to the web server ,due to tcp connection timeout !!

I just wish they would had sent a message to announce it and let people know how long the maintenance is scheduled for.

There seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes that most of us will probably never hear about - lots of battles going on between the various services. There are - or probably more accurately I should say "there were" - a lot of side deals going between all of these different IPTV services and now they are battling for the big bucks so the knives are coming out.
All kinds of server attacks going on back and forth. I think most will realize that none of them can win in the long run and hopefully they can end the battle.
If you happen to like the convience and ease of use of the paid IPTV services now be a good time to try some of the less known paid IPTV services available here. I've tried a few and some of them look pretty good.
I don't think this battle has affected the "free" IPTV stuff on Kodi/XBMC so now be a good time to try them out - you never know you may like it.
If someone made a choice to pay for any of the "paid" private services here I doubt if they would expect a refund when there are problems.
As we all know "time is money" - if someone spends an hour or more trying to find a "free" stable feed to their favourite hockey game and they can't find it on one of the "free" IPTV services I wouldn't expect anyone to be seeking damages because they wasted their time trying to find it and couldn't.
Some opt for the paid services because they think they can turn on their box and watch that hockey game without any searching or effort - in my experience most of the time it works BUT sometimes it doesn't - but if you want a refund because it doesn't work - then stop paying for a "paid" service and learn how to use the "free" service.
It is pretty simple - I've said this many times - the end user has the "power of the purse" - stop paying if you do NOT like the service.
I just wish they would had sent a message to announce it and let people know how long the maintenance is scheduled for.
I'm pretty sure if they knew the answer to that question they would have sent it :-)
There are a few private services undergoing the same problem and some have been sending out messages for awhile now saying they are working on it and just give them a little time.
I don't think those were disingenuous messages - I think they truly thought they could have fixed it by now - but as it turns out it is a pretty big problem. I think it is the type of problem that you can't put a time frame to - why send out a message that you will have a fix by the weekend or next week - or whenever - when you really don't know how long it will take.
They maybe could be a little more truthful about the cause of the problem - but most of us probably wouldn't understand it.
In the mean time there is lots of stuff that is working pretty good - so now may be the time to experiment on something different.

actually it is down for maintenance and it is not something they can fix locally.
every one of these IPTV and IKS servers is just a node on a MLM (Multi Level Marketing) scheme. Sure any one of the nodes can have issues of their own but when the main source is down everything is black.
Now if the source was using all subbed boxes then IPTV might still be up, but that is not the case. DN has thrown another wrench in the gears with either a new type of ECM or they have switched over to the new encryption method that does not stream control words. I don't know and I really don't care either. At the same time police in Europe also killed off one the guys that was hacking and streaming Skycable.
And that folks is why your IPTV and IKS is black and it won't be back until those problems are all rectified at the source. It could be 10 minutes and it could be 5 years. Get used to it

Things seem to be running good this morning. Remember this service is a fraction of the price of cable or satellite
P.S. Next time your vehicle that's under warranty an is in the dealership for a few days ask for a refund

Thanks maird57 for the heads up. I don't get any kind of refund from Dish net when the weather is so bad or raining so hard that signal is lost. Some peeps just like to complain and try and get under other peeps skin. Nothing better to do I guess. PD

As a guest on this site you might want to reconsider.

Not where I live - if you have a problem with your cable internet they blame it on your router and if you have a problem with your cable TV they blame it on your TV or your input cable :-)
Last time I had a problem with my cable internet it took them 4 days to come to my street and fix it - didn't see a refund cheque or credit on my bill.

When I have downtime and call, I ask the csr for credit right away and usually get it without a problem. A few years back they would try to play ring around the rosie with me and as soon as that game started I told them to pass me to a supervisor or manager and always got it.
There is always someone higher than the first line of defense and if they are playing you then escalate it even higher.
Nowadays a simple threat of moving your business to the competition usually results in more than what you were after.

Same here. But I guess if you cry enough to the right person they will do their best to please you. Even though it only amounts to loose change. Let's see $15 a month, when purchasing monthly, that amounts to about fifty cents a day. 4 days equals $2. Like the paper delivery kid from the movie "Better off Dead" said. "two dollars, I want my two dollars". PD
