Want to run two PVR Clients on the same Kodi

Well this is what you do. Just add a profile.

In my case I have two other machines running, one with kodi 15.2 running NextPVR for my OTA channels and the other is a Dreamlink T6 running TVHeadend.

I wanted to be able to access both of these on the same machine but you cannot run two Kodi on one machine. Then I had a idea in a dream that why can't we use profiles.
Well you can and it works great for just this. I think you could add as many profiles as you want as well but I only need two right now.

My second profile is connected to my dreamlink and streams fine over my network the master profile streams my OTA channels and all my apps etc.
To get from one to the other tou go down to the close button and sign off the profile your in and you get a popup showing the profiles and just click on the other.

Now everytime Kodi statrs up you have the option of both profiles.


Oh this will not work with Kodi16 to Kodi 15.2 you get a Version error.

Since the Dreamlink is 14.2 you need that or 15.2 to log into TVHeadend,

Since your post Benny, I've been playing with multiple profiles and skins giving my T6 a custom look. It's sounding like the T6 is getting a facelift to its operating system, the Isengard 15.2 which will open the door for custom builds.

I haven't had time to do more than what I did but will be playing soon. I'm sure glad I thought of the profile idea because it opens the door for much more testing and playing.
Moving up to 15.2 couldn't come soon enough.
