Three grenades found in Goodwill donation box, store evacuated
FRANKLIN, Wis., March 20 (UPI) -- A Goodwill store in Wisconsin was evacuated on Saturday after employees found three grenades in a box of recently donated items.
Local police kept the store cleared until the Milwaukee Police Department's hazardous devices unit arrived on the scene and determined the grenades were inert. Because the grenades were inoperable, police don't believe the scare was intentional.
Police determined the event unsuspicious and decided not to investigate further.
Goodwill doesn't accept donated weapons of any kind.
