Brittany Force took her first ever career Top Fuel win at the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida on Sunday.

A first-time winner was guaranteed to come out of the Top Fuel final after Terry McMillen had also made it through from the Semis. However, it was Force who took the spoils at the end of the day, becoming the second consecutive female Top Fuel winner after Leah Pritchett’s win in Phoenix.

In Funny Car, Robert Hight took his first win of the season after defeating Ron Capps in the final. Capps had made it through following a pedalfest with Jack Beckman, while Hight had put an end to the days of Dave Richards, Courtney Force and Chad Head. In taking the win, Hight takes the point lead by one point over Capps.

In Pro Stock, Greg Anderson beat Jason Line in the Pro Stock final with a holeshot win after a 0.009 reaction time. It was Anderson’s second win of the season, having also beat Jason Line in the final at the season-opening Winternationals. Anderson had to beat V. Gaines, Jeg Coughlin and Andrew Jackson en route to the final and now sits just 6 points back of Line in the points.

In Pro Stock Motorcycle, Eddie Krawiec won the class’s season-opener with his 32nd career victory. Krawiec defeated Michael Phillips, Jerry Savoie, Andrew Hines and then Hector Arana in the final. The second round of the Pro Stock Motorcycle season will take place in Charlotte, NC. At the NHRA Four-Wide nationals from April 22-24.

The rest of the stars of NHRA will be back in action in two weeks time from Las Vegas.
