I don't have stb, but have lg smart tv with IPTV app built in. Windows 8 based. MAC address on tv doesn't match what is displayed on my network map. EDIT: I want to buy a subscription.

My win 10 laptop has a fixed MAC address. Must I download emulator to my laptop and mirror to tv (preferred) or must I use the IPTV app?

Most subs won't work with your built in IPTV app from the TV.
You can install KODI on your laptop and then you can watch iptv using IPTV STALKER client addon from there.
The MAC address of the laptop is not important, you only need the MAC address from the app you use. In kodi that would be the MAC you create on STALKER addon.
