How do I get this JYXNBOX HD to record???

I've had some really poor FTA boxes, but this JYNXBOX V6 with the V10 software in it takes the trophy!!!
or now I say J***BOX !!

I have a 1st. version DreamLink, and that IS a good box, except the 4 hour EPG.and no wireless WiFi

Anyone know how to make this J***box record? I do have a usb drive in it, formated it, made it for "RECORD" but I can't highlight a EPG time to automatically start to record.

Ant help would be appreciated.

Go to a show in the guide you want to record, then press the green button on the bottom of your remote.

I am getting tired of moderating your posts and moving them to where they should be. Make your posts and titles to conform to site rules and please pay attention to where you are posting. The V6 is a clone!

Give me a break... I was never the manufacture of these units therefore I'm really not sure what unit I have.

I think if you're nitpicking a post because this guy really isn't up to speed with what he has, I thinks your going a tad bit overboard.

These are the choices I had submitting a question. I'm not seeing a Clone area in your list.
Perhaps there is something how I signed in the the Jynxbox section and did not see the "CLONE" section.

O.K. now looking at the whole list of boxes, I do see now a "Clone" section on this BBS.

There are over 29 listings in that clone group. that 29 listing, then has sub listings....WoW
You may figure, is I have that the Clone sections of said receivers would have been listed as to be a sub forum in the legitimate FTA Jynxbox unit section. But I guess not.

I certainly do appreciate you moving the post to the right section. I'm just a little perplexed as to the way you have responded.

At one time, I was a supporter of this fine forum ($$$) in the 'OLD" days and are proud to the fact I was thinking in my mind, I was able to help out the cause.

Here, on this site, it says I signed up and been supporting the site since January of 2013, But I did donate moneys to a site that I would have to believe was affiliated to this site called something with the last name as being "HU"
At that point, I'm gonna say I connected with that site in maybe 2002? or maybe earlier.

So tubbs has been hanging around and eating here for the last 15 or so years.

So in closing, I'm sure this post I have written will get trashed, But I just wanted to let everybody know, I'm not the smartest when it comes to the "FORUMs" and my last intention is not to PXXS anyone here off.

As always, one again....

Hey TUBBS how are ya?
Not sure about your version but if it is anything like the original it won't record and play back anyway. I still have a V2 and it is good except for that.

Oh by the way I have been around forever and never even knew they had a clone section here.
They need to make a clone Jynx section as a subsection in the real Jynxbox section.

Not nit picking nor picking on you. I would be saying the same thing to any other member and I know how long you have been around therefore you should know the rules...

We will not tolerate any flaming, bashing, mocking or any other form of disrespect to any member, nor will we tolerate such manners of disrespect directed to other FTA sites, Manufacturers of FTA Receivers, or Coders.

As for where to post, yes maybe we should look at moving the particular clone model to the jyxnbox section however now we would have to do the same for the other manufacturers as well which is very time consuming. Do we really need to revamp the site because members fail to take the time to make sure they are posting in the correct place? Usually if something is in the wrong location staff moves it and makes a post informing the poster of such and they now know where they should have posted as I did with your post asking about what file to use on your unit. I moved a second post of yours about the same box to the same location. Now i have moved a third to the same section. Did you not take a moment to look where it was moved to? If you did you would have made this post in the same section.

A little due diligence goes a long way and saves on unnecessary posts such as this one.

Now, as Benney said, even the non clone units don't record so your attempts are most likely futile unless you miraculously find some way to record. If you do, there's going to be a lot of members singing your praises bud!

I wouldn't get discouraged about trying to get the jynx to record. Play around and try different things when time permits. Who knows, you just might get it to work. Of course a hammer might come in handy at some point! Lol.

Try recording an HD channel, I think you will find that HD will record and playback better than SD channels.
