Follow what hutch suggested but it sounds more like a remote sticky button issue. Very carefully and very gently open the remote, remove the rubber button pad and thoroughly clean in-between each button and the bottom with a Q tip and rubbing alcohol as well as the top plate hole sides the buttons go through as well as all button contacts the pad buttons come in contact with. The remote has very small fragile clips on each side of the bottom half and will break off if you are not careful.

here's the obvious question... do you have more than one remote in the house?

Turn the face of the unit towards the wall, and wait to see if it still does it, must be picking up an ir signal from somewhere if you had cleaned all buttons...., My samsung tablet has ir remote control ability, and it was screwing with my dvd player for the longest time before i removed it from the coffee table... good luck...

very weird stuff

Just grasping at straws here but do you have any timers set in your settings? I'm not familiar with Jynxbox but is the remote IR or UHF?
If UHF this is possible:
C/P
Receiver Is Turning Off or Changing Channels by Itself

Don't automatically assume the receiver is bad if it is changing the channels or shutting off automatically. If the receiver uses a UHF remote, a neighbor may be using the same type of remote for their satellite system, and signals from their remote could be traveling through both homes. If this is the case, the receiver's manual should outline how to change the address code on the receiver to prevent it from happening again. It is also a good idea to check to see if other remotes inside the home could be the source of the problem. If the receiver does not have a UHF remote system, try resetting it.
