I bought myself a Jynxbox Ultra HD Lite yesterday after learning that my old faithful Nano was as good good as garbage! My FTA provider set it all up in store with channels scanned both on 110 and 119 but seems like im missing some channels i use to have a couple years back on my Nano. Now I would like to do a factory reset and do it myself.
Here is my delemma. When he set it up he manually deleted some frequencies or something like that and I couldnt understand why. Also reading around here a bit revealed some transponders need to be adjusted since sats 110 and 119 changed the way they operate?!?
I'm looking for someone who can give me sort of a step by step on how to go about setting up this box properly. Im not a Newb but I am out of the loop. Thanks for any help this forum has some of the best members Ive met on the net!

There have been a lot of changes with sats. If he set it up and you noticed some deleted transponders odds are he set it up applying the changes with sats. Take some time and go through the channels one by one as the ones you are used to being on a specific channel number have probably moved and are installed on your box but just under a new channel number. Don't factory default and make work for yourself as it was probably already done by the guy that set up the box.

Thanks Anubis. Now if i did want to rescan for channels can i do so without a Factory default and not damage any settings that have been done by "my guy"? I remember having to factory default my nano often before doing so to avoid doubled channels and epg confusion
But your right im going to go through the channels again a see. Not to come off as a weirdo but I'm deffinet missing the adult channels. Can this be due to some sort of a parental lock on. In the jynxbox settings they were on. Turned them off but still nothing.
This interface is not what im use to. Guess ill have to play around and learn i just dont want to make a mistake.

Thanks Hutch seems like I got them by taking parental control off and doing a blind scan. Now my issue is that i have channels in the BEV epg as well for some odd reason. These are DN channels, I never scanned for 91 since i dont need it anymore. Im worried i screwed something up and I dont have much experience in the TP stuff you are talking about up there. Like i said before the "guy" at the store set it up for me but I would like to be able to do it myself if ever I feel like starting fresh.
Back on my Nano days I would do a factory reset often and rescan when things went down. Seems like its not so straightforward these after the whole Module boxes came into play. Can i delete channels without doing a factory reset? Sorry about all the questions I just really want to learn all the new stuff i missed. Teaches me to not keep up with the times haha!
Thanks for the patience guys i really appreciate it!

Sure it is...you can factory default... then adjust your local time setting... then reset your sats...select a sat in dsh setting... go to manual scan & select TP 12224 on sat 110 or TP 12297 on sat 119 whichever sat your on. edit the TP to 21500 SR(ss) & change QPSK to Turbo/8PSK... hit manual scan but before you press OK change network search to yes. this will scan in all TPs on that sat... select the other sat in dsh setting & repeat the proceedure...do not blind scan or you will get channels in the guide that dont open & duplicates

You asked about rescanning without factory defaulting first. The answer is yes you can and you will not get duplicates.
