Manny Pacquiao was definitive that he is retiring after the 66th bout of his 21-year career . He is running for the Senate in elections on May 9.
"I was looking for a knockout every round. His style is to counter punch. But I countered him. He was different to the last two fights, and he improved. I can still fight - but I made the decision to retire tonight, work for my people and spend more time with my family."
Many are skeptical, however, believing he may be tempted to extend a career which has seen him earn more than $500 million.
"Thank you to all the fans in boxing, especially the Filipino people. I've really appreciated all your help and support," he added.
"Bradley is a good boxer, he's a champion, he's a man. It was not easy tonight," Pacquiao said, shortly before a warm embrace in the ring which concluded with the two fighters arranging to meet for breakfast on Sunday.

Bradley meanwhile paid tribute to his opponent.
"He's just very quick, very explosive. It's hard to really judge him, you know, he has quick reflexes," Bradley said.
"He used his experience against me, his ability and he won the fight tonight...I'm in there with a special man, Manny Pacquiao."

Pacquiao defeats Bradley in 'final fight' Official score - all three judges had it 116-110, 116-110 and 116-110 for the Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao
I scored it 115-112 to Pacquiao. Closer, but he clearly won the fight.

5:26AM
Round 12 Smart fight from Pacquiao. Has boxed well. Has Bradley's number. Good right from Bradley, which Pacman walks into. Sneaky left from Pac. They tie up. Left right from Pacquiao. Final minute. They tie up again. Left from Pacquiao. Bradley throws wildly and a counter left sends Bradley in a mess, tangled up in the ropes. This was a clever fight from Pacquiao. Two knockdowns tonight and he really does have Bradley's number.
Score: Pacquiao 10-9.

5:28AM
Round 11 They touch gloves. Championship rounds. Tim goes to the body, glancing blows. Straight right from Bradley, Pac slides back and away. Bradley throwing mist punches but mostly landing on Pacman gloves. Right from Tim. Quieter round from Pacquiao. Good right by Bradley.
Score: Bradley 10-9.

5:18AM

Round 10 Pacquiao looking for an opening for those power shots now. Bradley slowing, less movement. Caught by a Pacquiao counter punch as he comes forward. More success for the Pacman, who lands with short right.
Score: Pacquiao 10-9.

5:15AM
Round 9 Bradley with a left, right from Pac. good jabs from southpaw Pac. They exchange -- and a very hard left counter on the button from Pacman - it hurt him - and then drops Bradley to the canvas for the second time in the fight with a short left. Pacman has not had a KO since 2009.
Score: Pacquiao 10-8.

Better round from Bradley. Much more pressure, Bradley pouring it on with a flurry with just over a minute to go... driving the Filipino back and onto the ropes.
Score: Bradley 10-9

5:07AM
Round 7 Pacquiao lands jab successfully and is the more active, Bradley intent on moving. Left from Pacquiao and Tim touches down with his gloves. Gets standing count from Weekes. Counts as knockdown.
Score: Pacquiao 10-8.

5:03AM
Round 6 Geez, this is a close fight. Another close round, punctuated with little successes for each. So little between them after 30 rounds boxed together. Pacquiao started strongly, but Tim landed overhand right. Pacquiao lands more. We could get a controversial score here if it goes 12.
Score: Pacquiao 10-9.

Don't wanna be on the receiving end of that. #PacBradley pic.twitter.com/UWdSip4BNo

4:58AM
Round 5 Teddy Atlas urging Bradley between rounds. Good attack from Tim. Accurate straight left from Pac. Good left and right from the American. Good first two minutes of the round from Tim. Pacquiao pouring it on but missing. They exchange wildly for a moment. Fight opening up and back and forth between them. Pacquiao coming on strong at the end. Tough to score.
Score: Bradley 10-9.

4:52AM
Round 4 Easily best round for Pac so far in the fight. Loading up and landing. Left-right combo lands, body and head shots from the Filipino. Both land on the bell.
Score: Pacquiao 10-9.

Bradley not standing in front of Pac and being a target, always moving. Outlining Pacquiao, who shakes out his right arm - remember it was the right shoulder rotator cuff he tore. No one's fight yet. Still close but Bradley shades third.
Score: Bradley 10-9
4:45AM
Round 2 Two lefts from Pac. Not power shots. Tim responds with a right of his own. It's nip and tuck at the moment. Body shot from Bradley and right uppercut from the American. Left-right from Pac at the end of the round. Close again, but Bradley shades it.
Score: Bradley 10-9
The Philippines has ground to a halt to watch their hero, as usual:

Announcers giving it the big one Timothy Bradley, five time world champion, only one loss in his career - Pacquiao.
Manny Pacquiao, Congressman, running for senate, eight-weight world champ. Filipino legend.
The announcers are giving it the big one, for the WBO International welterweight title. Referee is Tony Weekes. Here we go...

4:29AM
Ring walks The arena is showing a montage of the greats - Hagler, Hearns, Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, Morales, Barrera, Castillo, Ali... so many great contests...
... now the ring walks.
By the way, promoter Bob Arum says he's treating Pacquiao retirement with a pinch of salt. He once had a boxer who retired at the start of a press conference and had made a comeback by the end of it.

4:25AM
Could be tough for Pacquiao Manny Pacquiao wants a KO in this fight - but I have an inkling that this third fight with Timothy Bradley will be the hardest of the three for the Filipino. PacMan will go for it though...

Ramirez defeats Abraham No surprise there with a landslide decision. Abraham, looking old, slow and one-dimensional, outboxed in a mature performance by Ramirez, the new WBO 12st champ. I had that 119-109.
Official scores: 120-108, 120-108. 120-108.
All three judges gave every round to Rrrrrrrrrra-mir-ez. That's what you call a landslide, a shutout.

Abraham chasing the fight Abraham really chasing this fight now. He has 3 minutes to change the pattern of this fight, or WBO super middleweight title going to Mexico. On Twitter lots of boxing fans would like to see Ramirez versus Liverpool's Callum Smith. That would be a great fight.

4:00AM
Abraham needs a knockout Ramirez boxed well in the eighth, and has at least six of these rounds in the can. Abraham needs a knockout - 36 year old champ against ambitious 24-year-old southpaw. Time for Abraham, who lost to Carl Froch, to get to work with his heavy hands.

3:53AM
Abraham being urged on by veteran trainer Ulli Wegner, Abraham's trainer, is urging his man on between rounds. Wegner has been in the corner for literally over a hundred title fights in a very long career in the corner... Success, finally, for Abraham in the sixth...

3:43AM
Ramirez / Abraham undercard update Arthur Abraham defending the WBO super middleweight title now against Gilberto Ramirez, the precursor to Pac Man vs Timothy Bradley.
Abraham is a tough man, and has been in many hard fights. He's up against a young stud tonight in Ramirez, and is having a bad time right now.
Low blows coming in from Ramirez in the fifth round... but Abraham knows how to go the distance in spite of winning very little in the first five stanzas...

. @RamireZurdo continues to apply pressure on
@ArthurAbraham as round 3 comes to a conclusion.

Profile of Teddy Atlas - the amazing man in Timothy Bradley's corner tonight Teddy Atlas was slashed in the face by a flick knife in a street fight in New York as a teenager. It required 400 stitches and has left him with a scar on the right hand side of his face for life. That groove serves as a reminder of a misspent youth, yet helped Atlas on his journey to being recognised as one of the most respected and astute analysts prizefighting has ever known.

In an exclusive interview with Gareth A Davies on the eve of coaching Timothy Bradley for his trilogy fight with Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas, Atlas explained that his own early years allowed him to understand the wildness of youth, controlling fear and has led to an instinctive, and deeply caring, understanding of fighters.

Great post Mr Z! enjoyed the matches.... Manny was sharp.. very aggressive. Bradley didn't
have the fire power to stop him like a Marquez..
I thought Teddy would have a better battle plan for Bradley. Maybe Bradley just didn't follow it.
In any event, congrats to Manny. Ended his career on a high note.. looked very sharp.
Both guys are a class act.
