Both are stable and best boxes you can buy.
Personally, I would say go with Avov, because it's easy to setup and has lot of extra features.

For private/paid IPTV service - yes they are both pretty much the same - but with the Avov you will be able to get both the private/paid IPTV service and also the public IPTV stuff like Kodi/XBMC.

If you are trying a bunch of different paid/private IPTV services it is a little easier switching back and forth between the services with an Avov box. Some people prefer the guide layout on the MAG254 box.
