U4 Quad Hybrid how to add IPTV stream

Type in receiver IP plus box IP in computer browser: 192.168.1.21:9981 (9981 is box IP)

Select congifuration
DVB inputs
IPTV
Select add service
Select group and type in stream location and save

On the receiver select home screen menu
Select IPTV
When pop up window comes up select the stream

I type in my box ip and :9981 but will not connect to my U4

Is your firmware current? Are you running at least 15.1 Kodi?

If not upgrade over the network. I'm running 15.2 with it now, and it logs in to the receiver just fine. I'm not sure if 16.1 works with TVHeadend as I haven't tested that version.

Let me know what you have on it now. Also make sure you are typing in the correct IP for the box and using the colon just like I posted 192.168.1.4:9981

Your IP address will be different than 192.168.1.4

Yes...you can find your in IP in the menu then go into the network settings. Then in your browser just log into the receiver like you do with your router using the IP addy and :9981. There are other commands also for other settings. Let me know how it goes. Been playing with this one for awhile now. I like it a lot for all the features.

Would like to find an app to allow me to add a p.s.
if I keep looking I am sure I will find one.
Other than that I like this unit.
set up for sats was easy
loading apps either by usb or through kodi easy
nice to play with
There is an app called live tv next to kodi but it asks me for a code
Have you tried that one yet?

The Live TV app I believe is for a European group. I have not used it. You can add a PS for sats using the following...

Press the Home button so you can see the menu items
Type 2580 and hit the info button
Go to service list
Go to newccamd
Input server info and select save and connect
Wait for it to connect

The chips used in the receiver are very good. Unless there is a problem at the other end you will never see a freeze :)

After getting into the box and selecting configuration the DVB then IPTV I click on Group but there is no where to input any info.

After typing box Ip and clicking on IPTV and selecting add service and click Group there is no option to type any thing in.
Any ideas thanks.
