I have possibly asked this before, but now i have 4 burnt JB200 tuners, does anyone repair these or can someone provide some info on how to?

2 receivers. had them from the day they came out. not bad, but still a bit frustrating, even though this unit is good. V2.

are you using a power inserter?

no, one on a motorized system, the other using dp500 lnbs twins.

so buy two 25V's and replace them? was it difficult?

Not too difficult if you have the tools and some soldering skills. (or know someone that does)
And are those caps polarized or what? If polarized then watch out to be sure to get the plus and minus right.
And overheating them when replacing them can do more harm then good.
And they are 25 volt 22 uF chip caps.

I simply used 25 volt 22 uF caps. Not the 25 volt 22 uF chip caps. This fix for me has worked out well. 1 still going after 2 years. the other over a year. Both never lasted 4 months before I had to do the repair.

Put it on a laptop cooler.
