I have been doing a little research and it is recommended to have at least 10 MBPS for internet speed.
I can only get 6 MBPS from my provider and there is no other choices here where I live so I was wondering if
anyone has tried IPTV with a lesser than recommended speed and what the results were? Buffering etc?

I've read that 5 or 6 mbs is the minimum but you also have to consider the limit on the bandwidth as some providers limit you per month...just saying. Plus at only 5 or 6 mbs you may experience some buffering which is annoying to say the least.

You should be OK if you choose a service that has a lot of standard def channels. I think IPGuys and NFPS still carry a lot of those.

Well I really love HD but I know SD will work better with my internet speed.
I was thinking of the service that has that very professional website where they sell a box too if you
know the one I am talking about?

With a low speed net l would use a mag254 rather then an android.

Yes I was thinking of that box. What do you think about the Vixo Fuse?

You will get buffering. I've read that minimum for HD should be around 24 Mbps but that may be inaccurate. I have 60 and still get buffering however when I run a speed test through my hardwired Android box I get 20-25 as a result for some reason. I have only seen a speed test on it reach 53 once. I run a speed test on computer hard wired and I get 64 Mbps consistent.

Buffering issues are caused by more than low internet speed...you will get issues at one time or another regardless of what your speed is.

went and got bell to hook up there new homehub 2000 but still no where near as good as rogers here in Canada,,, it would be a huge change over I would need to make to switch providers,, oh well maybe hardwired may be a little more stable than wifi hookup for this m18 I ordered

Yes, very little but you still get some buffering...and always will especially if the stream provider can not send that stream fast enough.

Well, I was talking about Kodi buffering but I sometimes get buffering using other apps. You can go hours, days, weeks or months without buffering...but you'll experience it at one time or another. It's the curse of the internet. :)

I live on an island and many people use the minimum 2 mbps package as the net is a bit pricey. But they use wowtv on the roku. it works ok as long as you dont try to play a video or download etc.
