I get few channels and I'm wondering what channels I should be getting. How can tell if my switch is going. Using a Dreamlink t5 and tuning in on 119,110 &129. I seem to get good signal on each but no signal. Receiver has trouble locking in sats in set up (red bar not blue) but good signal and quality (90%). I resently installed a new file thinking it may need a upgrade but this made little change.

Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for getting back, I'm using T5_106_0217 bin most recently installed. Switch is a EMP-centauri. LNB's I don't know but they look like the older style like used to be used on direct TV dish. Not the dstyle like the legacy. Elliptical dish with 3 the 3 LNB's. 119 is on port 1, 110 is on port 2, 129 is on port 3.

In set up red use to be able to get blue, if I tune in the odd channel on all 3 sats some channels will show blue bar on the right top but blank screen below. If I do a scan to find channels it locks in blue and finds channels. But to view these channels not happening on every channel. Just a few channels are viewable on each of the 3 sats.

bypass the switch and run the lnbs straight to rcvr Use a barrel connector
If everything is fine replace the switch

I did as suggested and each satellite worked perfect and most channels tuned in and so I thank you for your help. I had a cheap switch kicking around and but find it works allot like the other switch in that its slow and some channels won't tune in or take a long time. So the last question is: is one switch better then another. I also have a BAFF DSW-41 switch sitting here and wondering if its better then the cheapy.

Many thanks.

baff is one of the best on the market Make sure power is off when installing switches
