View Full Version : Bad or no signal, flashing lights
Have T4 working for for past few years, installed new module back in August/15. My support person recently installed a new module about 3 weeks ago indicating my t4 has now been transformed into a t5. Since then, I have had issues or bad or no signal errors with both lights flashing on the front of the unit. I reinstalled the blue module, the heat sink was lighted glued on by he way. Everything works fine for about 5 days and now back to bad or no signal. I wait 30mins, reboot and working again.
What could the issue be?

overheating likely Is it in an enclosed area? Maybe get a laptop cooling fan
It is sitting on my electrical fireplace shelf. We don't use the fireplace by the way. But why overheating now and never before, only change was the new blue module and the heat sink is rubber and glued lightly on. Thanks for the quick reply.

not 100% its a heating issue ,could be a switch the out Just some things it could be
Maybe the silicone heatsink is not contacting chipset fully
Looks like the heat sink is connected with thermal paste yet not secure at all. Should I re glue?

I would Mine is glued to the metal case
So I placed a cooling fan on top of the unit and it was fine for a few days, but now the same issue with bad or no signal and no Ethernet connected. Could the module be bad?

Were you able to get the problem fixed? I'm been considering the T4 HD with 100 module installed. but I have seen a couple of people with problems with the module installed..maybe just bad modules? also everything looked pretty much like a T5 when the module was working? I guess 1080i on content no?
thanks
