well just the newest level of free tv'ers again. Granted Kodi is about free tv in general but download the thing and install your own addons is the only way to go. Takes a little longer but you know what you have. Reminds me of the people loading other peoples channel lists on a FTA box and then wondering why their switches no longer work. :)

You can pick and choose what addons you want from addon repo in programs which is from tvaddons . Some are old but no different then super repos which has more dead repos then working ones. Solomans info is old....Boom shucka lucka.

And the wars begin!

I just use mid towers with W7 or W10 on them to build my own machines anyway.

Before I watched this video, I installed this app on my AVOV and from a modest 50M download turned out to be over 400M of bloatware...I immediately uninstalled it...

Waste of time and bandwidth...don't bother getting it guys...

Kodi is the 50m and the other 350m comes from the addons this build installs...most of which are useless. You're also not wasting bandwith if you are not connected to any stream (you probably need to learn a little on how and what Kodi does). fonger is right, just load Kodi (from their site) and only add the few addons that you want. You only need about 10 or 11 to get everything you want or need.

So what is the replacement add on? Is Phoenix part of it? program tools?

That addon was for dealers to put something on the box in two minutes , which had addons already activated and didn't need to add fusion url in add source area. Most of the add ons have been dead for over a year , Halow repo does the same thing when added installs 25 addons that 2 work.

So then we really don't need Super Repo??? it does have tons of addons.

You know damn well what I am saying buddy! Don't play the dumbarse card with me!
Kodi works fine until you install some crap on it that doesn't and never has worked or buy a box from some bozo that thinks they can make a quick buck modifying Kodi and installing broken piracy add-ons blah blah blah.
People keep this crap up and Kodi won't be around in 2 years....
Greed is fueled by stupidity...just like FTA and Iks has gone!

I have used Avov and their MickeyHop TVAdons ap and haven't noticed any problems. For a lot of people I think it is an easy version to load that the support team keeps updated and you don't have to do any research or time to keep it running.
If you are an avid Kodi user and have mediocre computer savy - then it may not be your cup of tea - but I think a lot of guys rely on TVAdons because they make it easy to use.
IMO if you don't like it - don't use - but if you like it and it makes watching free TV easier for you - then enjoy and continue using it :-)

well this has gone full circle. from warnings to endorsements. FREE & EASY should not go hand in hand at all. Every time it has been the greed and stupidity have always ruined a solution. It has also cost a lot of people in legal fees over the years starting with Capt Midnite during the old BUD days 30 years ago. That was the simple days.

Now we have people connecting a device to their home network and opening up ports to hell knows what or where. You have to keep in mind that a lot of these same people also can not configure an email client or navigate Facebook for 5 minutes without clicking on the word FREE!

Kodi itself is a great resource and 3rd party addons added individually and open ports traced will help keep a person reasonably safe. Adding 100 more addons at the same time, the majority of which are broken and also modified versions of Kodi is like playing Russian roulette. Have fun with that

Kodi (formerly XBMC) is a free and open-source media player software application developed by the XBMC Foundation, a non-profit technology consortium. Kodi is available for multiple operating systems and hardware platforms, with a software 10-foot user interface for use with televisions and remote controls. It allows users to play and view most streaming media, such as videos, music, podcasts, and videos from the internet, as well as all common digital media files from local and network storage media.

It is a popular multi-platform alternative to Windows Media Center for home-theater PC (HTPC) use. Kodi is highly customizable: a variety of skins can change its appearance, and various plug-ins allow users to access streaming media content via online services such as Amazon Prime Instant Video, Crackle, Pandora Internet Radio, Rhapsody, Spotify, and YouTube. The later versions also have a personal, video-recorder (PVR) graphical front end for receiving live television with electronic program guide (EPG) and high-definition digital video recorder (DVR) support.

The software was created as an independently developed (homebrew) media player application named Xbox Media Center (abbreviated as XBMC) for the first-generation Xbox game console, and was later made available under the name Kodi (formerly XBMC) as a native application for Android, Linux, BSD, Mac OS X, iOS, and Microsoft Windows based operating systems. It is also available as a standalone version referred to as Kodibuntu.

Now there are Dev groups out there selling there versions of addons...of course in competition with other Dev groups doing the same ....all black labeling each other in attempts to line there own pockets ..with a little online research you will find all these Dev,s (addons) for free......

Ican't get this "TV addon" off my box. I reset the whole thing, but when I restart, it auto loads the program back on the unit

You need to set up a different profile (under system - profiles) and then delete the TV Addon profile
