If you go backwards 3 to 5 hours on the guide you get the program to fast forward or pause!!

More providers should allow this. At least if you were out and missed your soap, you can go back and watch it and skip over the commercials. This feature seems to be exclusive to the Mag254 and is not included on the T1 or the AVOV products.
