I noticed a oil leak on my wife's 2014 dodge durango v6 awd.So I told the wife to take it to walmart and have the oil changed and have them look for oil leak/s.Walmart did last 2 oil changes because we were told we only have 1 year free oil change.Walmart said transfer case was leaking.I took the car to dodge and they said the oil filer housing was cracked and said walmart over tighten the cap and wasn't going to warranty it.The filer on this engine is on top under the intake manifold and is made of plastic. The part was $111.30 dodge wanted $550.00 including part to fix.I did the job myself in about 4 hours.

The car is a nice ride.

Walmart marketing is simple:make it cheap & they will come.Thre are MANY horror stories about people & their misadventures at lube shops.I've seen/fixed too may to mention.

I believe the fault is the oil filter/cooler housing.

I believe the fault is the oil filter/cooler housing.

The Walmart dudes responsibility was to make sure the vehicle left the store leak-free.That was not the case.

I came out of a tire store after them mounting 4 new tires... without any brakes! They busted a brake line when they put the car on the lift and sent me home that way. I got to the end of the drive,...

Yeah its a lesson learned.Walmart does more than change your oil with a visit. With the wife's new car we got 2 years free oil change after that I will do it.
