Recording from reciever

What is the best FTA receiver for recording and then playing back recorded files. I now have a Linkbox and I can only playback recorded files on the receiver, not a computer. This is frustrating and what to change to a different receiver.

I don't see that that is a big issue. I would think most box owners just play back on the box that they record on.
Just about all recording STB have issues with compatibility with PC players. Part of the reason is that the STBs are designed to play out the streams as they come from the satellites DVB-S or SVB-S2 format and that is not what PC streams use.
