What server/service are you using?

You don't need a service. There are many Kodi addons with working live tv...some are even here at Satfix in the Kodi/IPTV section if one takes the time to look.

I personally have tried both live tv by Kodi and paid IPTV and for me...I prefer paid becasue of the convience of all the channels you want in one list (rather than go from plugin to plugin to watch a certain channel) and the EPG is generally better for paid services...there is reason why channel selection is better on paid services than on free plugins..

If you just want to watch VOD type of TV shows and movies, then Kodi plugins is best...

Then you haven't used Kodi properly! When your "service provider" goes down, or just one of the SD channels that they provide and you want to watch, to bad for you. While using free Kodi addons you have a choice of multiple streams for channels and the guides are just as good as IKS was. Channels selection on your 'service' is nothing compared to channels from all over the world. I've been using Kodi for almost 1 1/2 years and there is nothing on your paid 'service' that I can't watch in Kodi (usually in HD). Using the right addons, not the Stalker Clones crap that is out there, is the trick to using Kodi. Like I said before, you're not using the right addons if you don't think that Kodi is better. Oh, BTW, you can put all the channels you want into an addon called Super Favorites ("the convience of all the channels you want in one list") and have many options on how you handle them.

USTVnow addon will get you all the prime-time networks (ABC, NBC...), for example.

Search for others.

USTVNow is also free for the 7 basic OTA channels. There are addons here at Satfix that are better than both of those but for some reason no one wants to look for them...everybody wants to be spoonfed!
