Just received a T6 and it will not update

Just received the T6 and its not updating with any of the current firmware. I tried 343 and 363 with just error messages. It has Kodi 14, android 4.2.2 and the current build is 299. Is it not supposed to be Build 18 or 20??

LOL...thats funny. The problem I found was that the factory firmware it came with needed to be replaced with the Build 20 first before it would take the others. Once I got the 20 on, the others followed flawlessly.

Are you sure you don't have a clone?

Most likely you do.


Clone units will not accept DL files.

Try to load the latest clone file then do fact. reset.

read post #3 I installed and did factory reset a few times and I have not noticed any issues yet. where can I find these clone files?

sorry but no offense meant by my expression. I found it funny because it seems to have come out of the left field. All the problems we have had with this device and all the issues with the clones, a faulty usb flash drive is the last possibility that occurred to me. I did try a different drive and had the same errors. once I found the build 20 firmware, it upload with no issues.

Going by the known difference checklist, I do have a made in Korea sticker at the bottom of this unit. The power button does have on/off written on it. The record button has a red dot. When I put in my flash drive for upgrades, its able to pick up only the bin files after scanning through all the hundreds of files on there. I have been able to install the build 20, 343 and 363 with updates and did reset between each without any issues. The only thing I still have not had any explanation for is the fact that the original build it came with said 299 instead of 18 or 20.

If I install a clone file over the 20 build and its not a clone what will happen?

I have reset the unit and gone back to build20 with Kodi 14.2. I installed the nfps emulator but getting no audio or video but the channel list is there with the epg.


Update: I down loaded the clone file mentioned above and put it on my flash drive. I reset the system again and tried to put in the clone file but the unit does not recognize the file on my flash drive. It shows the bin files for T5 and T6 but not the clone bin file. Is there another way to get it to recognize the clone file?

No do NOT TRY to keep loading clone can brick your unit.

If 363 loaded then you don't have a clone.

Thanks for the feedback DD. Have you had any experience with this no video or audio on the emulator?? It connects to the server and I get the channel list with the EPG but no video. I have upgraded to 343 again with no joy.

If you are talking about the IPTV yes you need to use the internal player. So go into menu / media player then choose internal player.
