Dn 119 w (Moved)

Hi all,

My neighbor's friend is having problems with DN 119 W settings.
Here is what he/she has
119 W ---> PORT 3 , 22K ON DISHNET REGULAR CHANNELS Buddy 119 LNB:11250 transponder:12224

No matter what he/she does , can't get the 119 W scanned !!

They need help.

what kind of reciever. what kind of lnbs... what kind of switch (if any)???

and you shoulndnt need 22k turned on. Turn it to AUTO

is the signal LOCKED TO 119W??

yes signal says 119, but does not scan any channels from 119 w ?!

by the way, 22 khz options is either On or Off, there is no Auto ?!

Sonicview SV-8000HD USB Force Load Procedure

You need to format a USB drive so that nothing else is on the USB drive. (Right-click and select Format for the USB drive letter) Then copy an unzipped bin file to the USB drive (whichever file you want to load in, best is the latest Factory File) to the blank FAT32 freshly formatted drive. Then be sure to use the Safe Remove feature.

1. Turn OFF the receiver using the rear power switch.
2. Insert your USB Stick into the receiver.
3. Press and hold the "Menu" button on the front panel of the receiver as you turn ON the power from the rear switch.
4. Continue to hold the Menu button until you see "LOAD USB" on the front panel.
5. Then you can release the Menu button to force a load from the USB device. The factory bin will load and then you can load the latest bin after.

You may need to do this several times until all the data has transferred to the receiver.

Generally the reason to do this is to fix receivers that appear "stuck" or "locked".

This little procedure will also help fix most problems that can crop up when you cannot load a file over USB.

They did that .....and after reboot....Now they have NO CHANNELS????
All TPS are Gone after downloading that file on to the receiver !!??!

you have to setup the LNBs for YOUR system.... the file is setup for mine.. change to match YOURS

They are scanning 110 w as we speak....after I tell them to
"swap 82 and 91 in settings" and lets see what happens.

7) Press OK to select English
8) Press the Menu Key
9) Select Install
10) Select Dish Settings press OK
11) You should now be at Dish Settings
12) Press OK
13) For 110W, scroll down until you reach EchoStar 8,X 110W
14) Press the Blue button to Set Favourite and press OK
15) Check you Signal and Quality
16) If you used a switch use your down arrow key until you get do DiSEqC
17) Use your side arrow until you reach the Port Number of 110W
18) Press the RED button for Scan SAT DO NOT BLIND SCAN!!! VERY IMPORTANT STEP.
19) Your settings should be: Satellite = Current Satellite....Mode = Fast...Polarization = All
20) Press OK
21) After the scan is complete it OK to save your changes.
22) Repeat Steps 8-21 for 119W EchoStar7 119.0W and select the DiSEqC for 119W
23) Repeat Steps 8-21 for 82W Nimiq2 82W and select the DiSEqC for 82W
24) Repeat Steps 8-21 for 91W Nimiq1.3 91.0W and select the DiSEqc for 91W

They got 91 W no problem, but 82 does not get locked ?!!

I have no idea... its your dish... which lnb is #1?? are you sure 82is port 1???

see what port 91 is on... if its on port one as well than MAYBE 82 is on port 2????????? or 3 or 4 .. look to see what theother LNBs are on.

They tried all ports but no 82 W signal locks...while with 91 was quick and easy on port 1...they are bith supposed to be on port 1?

With that, the Satellite is showing 91.0 W ??!!! and they scanned with 91 locked and they got all of SD Bev channels....since they can't find 82 w for Bev HD....no HD Bev right now :((

scroll to nimiq 91.. put it on port 1 22 off.. wait see if it locks. if it does not turn 22 on

same for 82 except change the port to 2 22k off... see if it locks... if not try 22k on

it was not 91 W , they scanned uner 90.9 W and it worked :)
