Once in the dish settings menu make sure you are on the satellite you wish to edit. Scroll down to transponder...while highlighting the transponder press OK on the remote. This should open up the transponder list menu...highlight the tp you wish to edit. Below the transponder list you will see four options that corresponds to the four color buttons on the remote. Press the yellow button on the remote to edit the tp...this should open up another menu to where you can edit all the tp info either numerically or with the right or left arrow ► buttons on the remote. Once you have all info edited scroll back up to Frequency before you exit out...if not it may not update the info in the transponder list.
A post of mine from sometime back above. I will add that you should edit all in the list before any deleting. Seems deleting before editing causes it to stop saving the edited info. The only thing that needs to be edited or updated in the standard sat file is the SR (21500), FEC (2/3)and Modulation (T**b*8**K). When in the tp editing menu scroll down to SR then to Modulation then back up to FEC and ok on the remote to exit. The number of conus tp's to edit per sat. 110-19, 119-16 and 129-16...list below. Should be pretty accurate...ones with ** are empty per this post. If you do a factory reset it should restore any deletions but any editing of the SR, FEC and Modulation will remain.
Renaming or renumbering the sats. are similar. Once in the dish settings highlight the sat. and ok on the remote then yellow button on the remote to renumber.
A little time consuming in the beginning but once it is done it should remain unless one does a factory reset...and a good way to update if one's usb post no longer works. Also if one deletes all but the conus tp's in the list turn the network search to off and it will only scan the tp's in the list under a sat. scan or one could scan per individual tp. If network search is left on it will add back in and scan those deleted tp's.
