When they released the last file they claimed another was in the works with newer Kodi.

That was like 7 months ago.

Yeah, I doubt this is going to happen.
New releases of Kodi (I think as of Isengard?) all make use of HTSP version 4 and greater. They don't use HTSP from version 3.4 anymore. The Devs at Kodi refuse to make the PVR plugins backwards compatible.
TVHeadend must be upgraded in order to use a new version of Kodi. TVH4 has had a major overhaul since 3.4, and is nothing like the old version.
The software for the Dreamlink would have to be completely re-written from the ground up. OScam, TVH, Kodi, Satellite config plugins.... It's not a small task.

Long story short.... don't hold your breath.
