Wrong side of the tracks! British tank flattens learner driver's car

The small car didn't stand a chance when the driver accidentally led it into the path of a Challenger 2 tank

This learner driver will be thinking twice before she gets back behind the wheel after her car was squashed by a TANK.

This picture from the police in Lippe, Germany, shows what happened to a small five-door car when a British Challenger 2 rolled over the front of it - and it's not pretty.

Police reported that an 18-year-old female learner from Detmold apparently didn't spot a convoy of tanks when she turned left onto the Panzeringstrasse - which literally translated means 'tank ring road'.

The driver of the convoy's leading tank, a 24-year-old Brit, was not able to stop his armoured vehicle fast enough, so he hit the car and overran the vehicle's front.

The young female driver remained unhurt, and damage to the car was estimated at around £9,000.
