Over the past few hours a series of large quakes has hit the area due North of one of the largest super volcano's in North America, Long Valley Caldera is second in line as one of the largest around, Yellow Stone is the biggest.

These series of quakes started this morning near a town in Nevada called Hawthorne, they were widely felt across a very large area.

Is the big one waking up? Only time will tell, if it pops then I will be seeing you all in the hereafter as I am only 60 air miles from the big one.

If I survive then I may have a better satellite view due East of me as mammoth mountain may be gone.

Call me a worry wort but it woke me up, and that's hard to do now days.(Did anyone on this side of the hill feel them?)

Updates (if needed, or if I can) will follow

If it happens you don't have a lot you can do about it. So eat, drink and have fun like there's no tomorrow.

Don't be stubborn like Harry R Truman at Mt. St. Helens. Traveled thru those parts in the late 80's. Incredible destruction.

Yah, put a crack in the bottom of that lake and you would have one very deep hole in the ground.

I had the boat out on that lake one time, mt depth finder lost the bottom at 1500 feet, that was the maximum range of the finder.

New update on the quakes, it seems that they may be related to the Aurora volcano that is very close by, if that one pops then it would be a small one.

Hopefully IF the BIG one is on it`s way the first to fall in the ocean will be Philip Rivers and the rest of the useless San Diego Chargers. Those bums cost me big time cash 2X this year on Point...

Being a Pats fan I have to say we are spoiled, the Pats usually cover, was watching the Miami spread today 6pts. Gotta go with ther Pats, I agree Rivers laid a dump on himself against Raiders, would have helped the pats!!
