Greetings, from Canada. Saw a video from chaos communication congress 2016 hackerfest in Berlin, a fellow canuck was working on certain satellite and cable devices with limited success. I wont post the link, I haven't read the rules yet.

I am a long time hobbyist, cut my teeth on atmegas and 3100's and used to lurk around hashhu over a decade ago, got into FTA with one of the first HD available VS9000HD. (still works)

Just here to say hi and spread the (sorta) good news, and I hope to stick around maybe my experience with viewsats can help somebody.
