The only long down time I remember was the "Map Calls"in which it took Viewsat several weeks to figure out.Other companies took several Months.

Coolsat had the first map57 fix. They had a card reader in the 5000's, and all you needed was an unlocked ROM. The card would handle the map57 call. It worked perfect.

After patiently waiting and monitoring the forum, I contacted powerfta and I am all up again on normal. I've tried at least 5 or 6 providers in the last couple of years, and I have been very impressed with powerFTA. He's usually very quick, and considering this was a major ECM, it took a little longer, but he is still the best in my experience.

I am connected, but in order for most channels to be up they could try to re-throttle or reboot the server.

I noticed that the channels go down a lot then back up again so doing the above could make a difference.

i would imagine its pretty tough to do when you cant predict the load thats going to be put on a setup. 10 users hitting a server vs 10,000 users hitting a server is going to have a different results. they could have built their setup to host 5000 users and could be over that limit especially with NFPS dropping off and people scrambling to get service back. so it seems they where not prepared for the dropping of NFPS and their setup wasnt built to handle the flood of new people.

I find that almost every time you question that there is no connection, it seems its always the users fault, and the standard answer is turn everything off for 5 minutes, reboot, and you should be able to connect, I see i'm not the only one having connection issues

Ok...I haven't reshared anything and I still can't get connected to the server. I've paid for a years worth of service, and have only gotten about 4 months worth of service. Almost none in the past 3 months. and hen I have been able to get connected it only lasts a couple of hours before either freezing or just completely going down. Whats up?! Will I (we) be compensated for the months that I've(we've) not been able to get service? I still can't get connected to the server! WTF! after paying.

Can anybody confirm if the 72.7 hd channels are working my neighbors hd channels on the 72.7 eastern arc are just coming up black screen he has good signal and it says server connected but just has black screen and info for most his hd channels but his sd channels on 110 119 are working fine.

i see that the eastern arc is still advertised as working was just wondering most of my neighbors 72.7 channels has been just black screen now for a few weeks it says connected but no picture 110 and 119 works fine but only a couple hd channels are working on the 72.7 has a good signal and he did a channel scan but still has black screen on the hd channels was wondering before he tampers with his system any more if other people that has the vip package with eastern sats hooked up are working or is everybody having the same issue on the eastern arc?

Im confused, there are threads where people thanking this guy for his great service, I have been down for a while now, but when you ping vip the server seems to be up. Emailing powerFTA is a waist of time, he says his only job is to keep the server up. its always my fault for no connection.

Anybody else not able to connect to the server for the past couple of days? My sub is suppose to be good until the 8th, so I know it's not that.
