HDMI problem

The HDMI has no output to the TV with this. Component out works. Could it be a firmware problem or is there a common hardware fault?

I have seen only one hdmi failure issue on the 8000 & it was a broken header on the main board.Some of the hdmi cables can tug on the connector pretty hard.I'm not aware of any other hardware issues except the cable itself likely to be the problem.They are a very good unit outside of the power supply/caps issue, & the odd info display issue.
