I have seen the upgrade of how to somewhere but I can't remember where. It consisted of files. It might have been on u-Tube but i can't find it.

for android 4.4 you can hxxp://aftv.hackmykodi.com use the mygica 17.0 for android 4.4 wont work for 4.2 boxes though

Seems the answer is this. you are mostlikely better off purchasing a new box with an os of 6.0 or better. How ever u can check out FTMC for an up grade on a 4.4.2 OS . the new upgrade from FTMC will trick the box into thinking its OS is 5.0 or better and will give u KODI 17.3 in disguise.
