Remember what the media did to Reimer when Boston beat them?...............that would have been nothing to what they`d had done to Gardiner. Stevie Wonder sees the ice better than this kid game after game after game. And he led them with a +25....goes to show you something on the dependability of stats as your sole rating point. No question about it.....learning to protect a lead, scoring on breakaways/shootout are close to the top of the Leafs list this summer.....right AFTER they go get a defense. Gardiner, Hunwick and Marincin are pitiful when it comes to playing under any kind of duress.................."better days ahead"...only if Tanenbaum and MLSE stay away from this team.

No kidding pal....Leafs/Habs cause it doesn`t get much better than that. Any supposed rivalries (Habs/Bruins) would fall by the wayside very quickly.
Also...a big thanx should be given to Tanenbaum and MLSE for keeping their word and staying the hell as far away from the Leafs as humanly possible. From last to a playoff spot upon Tanenbaum`s exit is no coincidence.

Babcock can out coach Washingtons' last line change.

well the leafs went from dead last too a playoff position in one year, and im kinda glad we play washington, because if we win a round and look good it will give the leafs brass false hope that we dont need help on our back end, or need a few more complete players, this way we lose in 4 or 5 and look like we have been run over by a bulldozer they will see what this team truly needs going into next year
