Canelo vs Chavez

Well that was a good old fashioned beat down !
Canelo was very impressive in this fight, he nearly doubled Chavez on the score card in punches thrown, power punches and jabs
A one sided fight ,,

Not the fight it was hyped up to be. 120 - 108 (12 rounds to none on all 3 judge's cards), "a one sided fight" is being kind to Chavez :)

Stop me if you have heard this before...
Chavez, a known brawler who has brawled with guys at 170 or more,
all of a sudden turns into a lamb at 164 with a small middleweight..
Hardly throws a punch and got used as a punching bag......
THEN,,, immediately after the sparring session, they announce the
Canelo vs GGG fight... already had the GGG film set up and everything.
MAYBE they slipped Chavez a couple hundred g's to not hit Canelo for fear of
a cut or maybe even hurting him.... he could never beat him anyway...but, maybe a cut.
There would go the already signed Sept fight..
Something smells a lot like last fridays fish here...
This has happened before...
The entire card sucked big time!!! Oscar took us to the wood shed again!!!
Ahhhh boxing! And the beat goes on..

That's why MMA is so popular...but I'm beginning to wonder about that too

Because Chavez can take a punch and Canelo wasn't throwing his thunder bolts in spite of what Lumphead and his boys were saying. If there ever was a fight that should be investigated for being fixed, this was it. Which reminds me of another fight where I saw the same walk in look on his face that Chavez had. It was Mike Tyson when he fought Buster Douglas and we all know what happened there :)

You know,,,,,, you're right! , I didn't think about it last night, but I was puzzled at the GGG intro, the clip seemed like a strange thing to see
on the big screen and finally it was wiered seeing GGG walking into the ring and the questions Kellerman was asking were scripted, taking the
comments by bith fighters right into the promotion of the Canelo/GGG fight

I can't believe Chavez went along with it, why would he put his reputation on the line like that ?
It's got to be more than a few extra "last night" bucks,, unless these guys were promised matches and rematches with extra PPV dollar paydays

Chavez always struck me as a kid who really didn't want to go into his father's 'business' but had to because of who his father was, and the pressure his father put on him to do so. He's been in a number of fights over the years that looked like, win or lose, he'd rather be somewhere else than in a boxing ring. I always felt he lacked the 'heart/desire' to be better than he is. He showed this by 'quitting' in the 2nd/3rd round of this fight, just 'sparring' the rest of the night to get a payday. JMHO
