basically they are releasing new wowtv channels each day and they get shut down each day by roku..If you make your own wowtv channel on a roku.com account the account will be closed by them. this started about two weeks ago.

they have released a file for what they call sideloader. you bring box to dealer and he adds it through the network. It cant be removed by roku. so no more updating.

the dealer may send you the file. I dont think wowtv releasing any more channels that get shut down every day. sideloader is the best bet but usually dealer takes box... there is a way to do port fowarding on your router that allows the dealer to send file to your roku Ip..

You'll have to contact one of the dealers and ask them.

port 80.

Thanks mechanicman - I haven't tried it yet - from what I hear it is just like loading a bin file.
So it looks like every dealer is just using the normal HTTP port 80 for this sideload
- nothing wrong with that - but I thought a dealer could select any of the 65000 or so ports that they wanted in their config???

Yes easy. Sometimes takes a few times to load especially on the roku stick. I have no experience loading remotely though.
