Way was there on water.

They dammed it off to clear some of the eroded rock away and make the falls look better.

I believe there is talk of doing this again soon as the same thing has happened again over the years.

I remember them being dry as a friend and I drove down to see it. The cliff face was so loose they didn't want to remove the rubble below as they were afraid they might collapse completely. After all these years maybe they have found a way to solve that problem. I had pictures I took with an old Brownie camera at the time but dammed if I can find them now.

That was the U.S falls and it was to repair to slow down the erosion of the falls .. Horseshoe Falls (Canadian) near impossible to shut off .But back in the 1800 it ran dry .U.S side .
