No glue needed, an arch is very strong and self supporting if the sides are set and built right.

One quick way to build a bomb shelter.

I like the tricky way they use the truck with the wheeled form to keep it from collapsing till the keystone is in place.

Had to think about this overnight. Could not come up with a good use for the design. Maybe a "cave" for aging wine or cheese, but even there I don't see anything to prevent water seepage and that would not be good! Maybe a culvert, but there have to be better ways that that!

Bomb shelter is the best use, concrete walls that thick will keep those pesky radiation Zombies out, and use at least a 2 inch thick steel wall at the front.

Living on the West coast is chancy right now, it all depends on what that little fat boy in NK is going to do next.

I have mine shafts, stocked.

I would not want a bomb shelter that leaked--rain picks up radiation too! Maybe a forward observation site for Artillery.
Had the thought that it could be for a wood drying kiln--could not be ceramics kiln because you can't chance water dripping in there either. Would be easy to make water tight, but not with what they were doing in the video (at least I did not see anything that I would interpret as an act that created a seal).
And it would be easy to design something that could be earth bermed that only takes a couple of manual laborers rather than heavy equip and could be a living space or bomb shelter.

A bear proof tent??? Anti-Zombie shelter??? Flatlander proof dwelling????? Nice Man cave???? A place to go to avoid city slickers when the poop hits the fan???? Bear proof smoke house?????

If you grout the joints (no kids not the ones your thinking of) it would be water tight, then a good coat of tar would seal it up real nice, it's how to do the door that would be the problem.

I think it would make a very nice tornado shelter.

This video shows the versatility of the Zipper truck system. We are able to create tunnels with openings very quickly with no permanent support work. This arch can be used as a mining reclaim tunnel or storage vault with top access.
