hello,

does anyone offer a service that has HD channels which offer live sports that are delivered in quality similar to that of IKS? i don't even know if that's possible, because for any iptv services i've seen the streams are not too great for live sports

I have only been testing for a few days - but SETvnow has the best HD picture that I have seen for the IPTV channels that I watch.

IMO I think IPGuys highly compresses their streams so that guys with a mediocre speed can still watch - so the picture quality isn't that good - same with NFPS/IKS66.
IPTVExpress was one of the first to give us decent HD streams - then OK2 and EpicStream improved on it a little bit. CrownTV had pretty decent picture quality but that and their stability has been slipping over the past few months.

I watched a couple of channels last night on SETvnow while I was flipping back and forth with my DreamLink T5 on the same channel and it was pretty hard to tell the difference. I was just watching on a 42" - so it may be more noticeable on a larger screen.

EpicStream is very good picture quality - it and OK2 have been my go to streams recently - both have good picture quality and are pretty stable. I also was watching SETvnow for a while but there pricing seems to be out of whack.

You guys make it too hard to decide LOL.............

I'm going to have to set aside some time and do a head to head comparison and see who comes out the winner :-)

Just bumping my original thread from a little while back. I tested ok2 on a mag254 yesterday because that was the consensus best server for live HD sports, and the quality is nowhere near fta/iks. I figured it would be a bit off, but not that much. I mean, Netflix uses streaming and the quality is quite good. Perhaps its a live vs non-live issue? I know I had my video settings at the highest on the box (1080p, 60fps) so I don't think that was a problem.

Is there anything (server, box, etc..) that comes close to fta/iks in terms of pic quality on iptv?

This was my exact results after testing ok2 on mag254. Quality was horrible...i can see pixels with my bare eyes. I have no idea that different boxes can make a difference in quality. Well, other members say so. I am looking into getting a better box like Buzz but not sure how different it will look. If you do, let me know :)

well i think when your talking the mag 250 or 254 how old are they?

buzz 3000 is the new kid on the street and even with the dreamlink plus there is better picture then the old mag boxes.......

it sucks but with this game some times you have to upgrade not like the old fta that copied a real receiver.....

theses iptv boxes are changing all the time building them as they learn, the streaming changes with there advances. iptv has come a long way.

throw out the old box it owes you nothing, upgrade to the newer boxes that can do more for you then just private iptv like the mag box

just my 2 cents

i am encouraged that this tech is getting better..seems like iks is becoming less and less supported

Not sure if you got the Buzz already, but i did and i want you to know something as we were in the same boat.

Tried the ok2 server that everyone is talking about. Quality on sports chs is alright. It is nowhere close to the smooth 60fps on sat/ota. You will easily notice that you are playing iptv ch. Additionally, there is about 20-30 sec delays on all sports chs compare to Sat feed so you will have to stay away from social media and score apps while you watch. If you are used to iks, you won't find a similar service (top quality and minimal delay) no matter what iptv server you try. May be in future but not as of yet.

so you have a radio playing in the background?lol
and you can't compare it to ota
hell you can't even compare most sat channels to ota
even they have a delay/less quality to ota

No, i had sat feeds playing to compare. No one uses OTA for sports lol. If you didn't know almost all sport coverage are not on OTA. OTA feed to Sat feed might be 5 sec delayed but as i said, no one uses OTA for sports and quality is almost the same. Unlike on IPTV where it's night to day difference compare to smooth sat feed.

nbc and fox carry sports all the time
so does cbs,cbc and abc
I know because I use ota for sports and news
and weather affects sat reception

If you are on the b3w sat footprint, it is reliable for a while now. Never missed a game yet.

Hello, just wanted to revisit this question I posted above a couple of years ago. I'm assuming IPTV has made some advancements. With that being said, is there a way to get live sports (when they come back) to be of the same quality and same lack of delay that you get with IKS? Or is that still not possible? I've heard from friends who have IPTV that the picture has gotten better, but still isn't IKS quality in HD, and sports are still on a delay.
