to me this is the best part of all these boxes loading them testing them trying different ones.....waiting for updates

Well looks like they fixed my epg issue for the ok2 server

But when I hit recall it still turns on netflix........maybe the next update can fix that.

Recall works only if I uninstall netflix

Was scrolling down the epg and the service stopped went to the server screen......i did something else then it opened up the web browser.......i just did a reboot I'll try with a different service

uninstalled netflix the recall works again.........i think the epgs on the few services i have tried load better

but i could not get the play back to work on cod in the live tv said stream not available will try again later could be there end not the buzz

but all in all loving this box getting the 3000 tomorrow

Is made for the xpl3000, I have the 2000 model and I think the previous was better than this update,now some times when I select live tv is taking me to home screen again :(

The update is for the app itself not the box ,another new add to the update that is kind of bugging me is the information on the bottom of the screen on changing channels is darker than before is not transparent anymore :(

Shouldn't be an issue with that because by the time the channel comes up the info bar has already disappeared

Okay guys I did the update on my xpl2000. Here are my thoughts.

1.Scrolling up and down of the 'ok button' EPG is silky smooth, they were no glitches or crashes.

2. The info bar at the bottom is way better than how it was before, it's detailed. I think the record and lock channel options in the info bar is unnecessary, you don't need to see them just knowing you can use the option via the remote in full screen mode is enough.

3. Still on the info bar, the channel number and name should be integrated inside the bar itself and not sitting on top of it. It simply takes up too much of the screen, that is the channel name and info bar together, nearly half the screen is eaten by this.

4. I think the bar has a good shade, it's not too transparent, however, having the option to adjust this and also the amount of time you want the bar to stay visible should be implemented. At present it takes too long to disappear.

5. The single channel EPG is brilliant.

6. One strange happening though is that if you click on a channel from the 'ok button' EPG and you do that while in the favorites category. You click on a sports channel and bring it to full screen, when you return to the ok or grid EPG only the sports channels category is listed. You can try it while in the all category as well, whatever channel you choose it defaults to the category it is in regardless. This should be rectified as soon as possible because you have to choose the category you want again and start scrolling from channel number 1, although the channel you were watching was number 85. It is very annoying and time consuming.

I don't have any service that does catchup and I don't really use the vod section but will try to experiment with those. I would still like to know which players are the default, secondary or external.

Yes you can, from the moment I got mine while experimenting I noticed it. I have never issued my original mac to a seller, so if they choose to not release it I can always grab a new one and still use the app instead of emulator. For this reason, I think the buzz is awesome

Noticed that OK2 service has some Catch-up enabled channels but the buzz not handling it to well. Hopefully the buzz team will take note and do wonders in the next update.

Update on new release:

Another glitch I've found is that the info bar hangs around longer, let's say if you adjust the volume up or down. Actually the bar will not go off the screen if you press any button on the remote while it is visible.

When switching between categories, as I have to do this because of issue I mentioned above, the buzz is losing audio on all the channels regardless of the service I'm using. So having to reboot when this happens.

There is some problems with the 3000 model.
2 times this has happen to me....
The box does a little glitch then I get bumped off the server. When I exit the buzz app I had on home screen is gone. I go into apps and click on it then I get the note on the box my sub is expired when its not. No matter what you do after that you still get that message.
Only fix is to get a hold of server people to get your box back online with the server.
Some people may think...the mac addy changed but nope its the same one as always.

Seems they had two updates for the 3000 thus far and none for the 2000. Anyone heard anything?
